🐾 Dog-Friendly Stays at The Retreat Cabin – Our Canine Code of Conduct
We’re delighted you’ll be bringing your dog to The Retreat Cabin at Kinnaird—you’re all going to love it here! We know dogs are part of the family, and we’re proud to offer dog-friendly accommodation in Pitlochry that doesn’t compromise on comfort or luxury.
To help make your stay smooth and enjoyable, please take a moment to read our dog policy below.
🛏️ What We Provide
If you need any of the following during your stay, just let us know in advance and we’ll have them ready for your arrival:
Dog bed
Towels for drying off after muddy walks or swims
Food and water bowls
Garden corkscrew & tether (great for peace of mind in our fenced garden—especially for little Houdinis!)
If you haven’t already told us at the time of booking, please confirm:
The breed(s) of dog you’re bringing
How many dogs (we welcome a maximum of 1 well-behaved dogs)
Registered guide and hearing dogs are very welcome and stay free of charge. If you’re bringing an assistance dog, we’d appreciate advance notice.
🐶 Canine Code of Conduct
We want all guests—human and canine—to have a fantastic stay. To ensure everyone’s comfort, safety, and enjoyment, we kindly ask that dog owners follow our simple rules:
Supervision:
Dogs must always be on a lead, under control, and supervised when in the garden, path, and parking areas. Please be advised there are other dogs on site.No Unattended Dogs:
Dogs must not be left alone in the property at any time. If you have an emergency and need help, please contact us.Noise:
Excessive barking can disturb other guests—please be considerate of your surroundings.Toileting:
All dogs must be fully house-trained. Please ensure they toilet outside, and clean up immediately.Sleeping Arrangements:
Dogs are not permitted in bedrooms or on any furniture. We recommend bringing your dog’s own bed or crate.Cleanliness:
Please clean up after your dog inside and out. You’ll find cleaning supplies in the cabin (vacuum, mop, dustpan, etc.).
If your dog has an accident, let us know—we have a carpet and upholstery cleaner available.Waste Disposal:
Use the plastic bin outside your lodge to dispose of all dog waste securely.Damage & Liability:
Dog owners are responsible for any damage caused during their stay. Accidents happen—we just ask that you inform us promptly so we can put things right before the next guests arrive.Dog Safety:
The Retreat Cabin garden is fully fenced, but feel free to use the corkscrew & tether if you’d like added peace of mind.Restricted Breeds (for guest safety):
