Pitlochry has colourful events throughout the year - Highland Games Days, Etape Caledonia, The Enchanted Forest, New Years Day Street Party and the lively Cateran Fest.
Perthshire is the outdoor activity playground of Scotland. We have the UK's first static Bungee jump, white water sports for the energetic, superb walking and cycling routes for those looking for peace and quiet and Hunting, Shooting and Fishing for the traditionalists.
If you are staying with us for a short break or romantic weekend are probably expecting to have a dip in the hot tub and then to cosy in front of your log burning stove. However, here are lots of marked walks in the area from low level loch-side ambles to more strenuous mountain climbing to tear you away from your lodge.
Pitlochry also has lots of entertainment and action to tempt you with many pubs providing live entertainment several times per week.
March and April see an eclectic mixture of touring before the main season begins in May, running until October. In recent year there has been a late special running in November followed by either a musical or pantomime in December.
May brings the Atholl Highlanders Parade and Highalnd Games at Blair Atholl (just 7 miles from Kinnaird).
The Second Saturday in September is always Pitlochry Highland Games - a fanatastic event enjoyed by locals and visitors.
September brings The Horse Trials to Blair Castle. Not just for equine enthusastics, it has a fantastic country fair feel about the week long event.
Glenshee, the most extensive ski area in Scotland with 36 runs and 22 lifts, is a 40 minute drive from Kinnaird and opens in December each year. In recent years the snow has been very good and hope to stay open until mid April each year.
The Victorians came to the town to take in the clean air and waters of the region and it became a popular spa destination for wealthy city dwellers.
Why a hot tub will make your holiday so much better you'll never want to holiday without one again!

Premium lodges offer the same great hot tubs hot tub and wood burning stove experience with a king sized bed in the wood lined bedroom and extra space in the living areas and on the decking.
I have just returned from my second stay at Kinnaird, last year myself and my husband stayed in the cottage and this year we stayed in one of the wooden lodges. We were greeted warmly by Andy who explained about the hot tub and wood burner and how to work the heating etc which was great. The lodge itself has everything and more that you would need for a relaxing stay here and was extremely comfortable. It was lovely on our last night that it snowed whilst we were in the hot tub and the log burner was lovely to come back into. Very private area and outstanding views. We walked down into Pitlochry on the Saturday morning which was lovely to wander in and out of the little gift shops. We visited the Moulin Inn for dinner on the Saturday night which has great food and good value for money and our initial plan was to go back down for dinner on the Sunday night also but to be honest the lodge was so comfortable we really just wanted to stay in and enjoy the views and luxury of our accomodation. Well done to Andy and Jane for yet again providing us with a wonderful weekend and lovely memories. Would not hesitate to book again. DebbieL987 Trip Advisor reviewer
We recently stayed at Kinnaird woodland lodges (love cabin). When we arrived the cabin was beautifully decorated with candles and rose petals etc! The view was absolutely amazing, it was so relaxing to sit in the hot tub and watch the sun go down. The perfect place to be if you are looking for a chilled out place to stay. Sadly our weekend away was cut short due to unfortunate circumstances but very kindly Jane and Andy have offered us another stay up at the lodges to make up for it. I can't stress how thankful we are to them and would definitely recommended anyone to visit Kinnaird woodland lodges as the overall stay and service is amazing.
