If you are staying with us for a short break or romantic weekend are probably expecting to have a dip in the hot tub and then to cosy in front of your log burning stove. However, here are lots of marked walks in the area from low level loch-side ambles to more strenuous mountain climbing to tear you away from your lodge.
Pitlochry also has lots of entertainment and action to tempt you with many pubs providing live entertainment several times per week.
March and April see an eclectic mixture of touring before the main season begins in May, running until October. In recent year there has been a late special running in November followed by either a musical or pantomime in December.
May brings the Atholl Highlanders Parade and Highalnd Games at Blair Atholl (just 7 miles from Kinnaird).
The Second Saturday in September is always Pitlochry Highland Games - a fanatastic event enjoyed by locals and visitors.
September brings The Horse Trials to Blair Castle. Not just for equine enthusastics, it has a fantastic country fair feel about the week long event.
Glenshee, the most extensive ski area in Scotland with 36 runs and 22 lifts, is a 40 minute drive from Kinnaird and opens in December each year. In recent years the snow has been very good and hope to stay open until mid April each year.
"Unbelievable" Booked a two night stay for my fiance and I's birthdays. Was unbelievable! From the views to the warming log burner and the very relaxing hot tub, this is top notch accommodation! The lodge we stayed in (lodge 4) was very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and the house keeper who explained how to use the hot tub and log burner was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the surrounding area. Will definitely be back for another special occasion. Megan from Edinburgh
We booked a lodge a day before arrival as a "MINI Honeymoon" after our Wedding on Saturday. I had been looking at local hotels which were averaging around £200 for 2 nights, I then came across these lodges and thought why not! For an extra £100 we had the privacy of our own lodge, with self catering facilities which we used both nights to make dinner, along with a wood burning stove, tv, dvd player and of course the main feature... the HOT TUB! We would definitely say this stay was more than worth what we paid, it was lovely, kitted out with everything we needed. Yvonne came in not long after we arrived to show us everything and give us some information about the area etc which was most useful. If you are looking for a lovely break away , go ahead and book this up ..... its definitely worth it! laurennessilicious on Trip Advisor
