Pitlochry and Perthshire are the year-round playgrounds of Scotland. Each month sees new activities and adventures becoming available. From gentle woodland strolls to high-adrenaline sports Perthshire is the county to do it in.
Pitlochry has colourful events throughout the year - Highland Games Days, Etape Caledonia, The Enchanted Forest, New Year's Day Street Party, Pitlochry Festival Theatre (open all year), Blair Castle Horse Trials
We have the UK's first static Bungee jump, white water sports for the energetic, superb walking and cycling routes for those looking for peace and quiet, fabulous golf courses and Hunting, Shooting and Fishing for the traditionalists.
There are lots of marked walks in the area from low-level loch-side ambles to more strenuous mountain climbing. Pitlochry also has lots of entertainment and action to tempt you with many pubs providing live entertainment several times per week.
March and April see an eclectic mixture of touring before the main season begins in May, running until October. In recent years there has been a late special running in November followed by either a musical or pantomime in December and the Winter Words Festival in the early part of the year.
May brings the Atholl Highlanders Parade and Highland Games at Blair Atholl (just 7 miles from Kinnaird).
The Second Saturday in September is always Pitlochry Highland Games - a fantastic event enjoyed by locals and visitors.
The International Horse Trials within the spectacular grounds of Blair Castle normally covers the August bank holiday weekend Thursday through to Sunday. Not just for equine enthusiasts, it has a fantastic country fair feel with many food and drinks stalls, artisan producers and local suppliers exhibiting throughout the event.
Glenshee, the most extensive ski area in Scotland with 36 runs and 22 lifts, is a 40-minute drive from Kinnaird and opens in December each year. In recent years the snow has been very good and hope to stay open until mid-April each year.
Cairngorm in the Grampian mountains (said to be the oldest mountains in the world) just over 1 hour from Kinnaird, has a funicular railway and many runs.

We'd love to welcome you and your dogs to our beautiful Premium Woodland Lodge located just outside Pitlochry on a stunning hillside.
The Victorians came to the town to take in the clean air and waters of the region and it became a popular spa destination for wealthy city dwellers.
This is a 2 bedroom lodge with cosy wood burner and wonderful open views with lots of great walks nearby.
We had a few days in a one-bed lodge, idea was to 'get away from it all'. Enough privacy to do just that, sit back, relax, enjoy the sun and the stunning views around Pitlochry. Andy was very helpful, as was Jane. Everything you are likely to need was there for you, clean and tidy too. Have told a few friends of our experience...all very positive. Many thanks - hope to return. Tripadvisor 3
