Are there any additional costs?
Lodges: Electricity is payable by £1 coin meter. Logs for the woodburner can be purchased at £5 per bag, to include firelighters.
Kinnaird House & Garden Cottage: There will be an additional cost for electricity, depending on how much you use. This is charged at cost and calculated by meter readings on arrival and departure.
Do you allow smoking?
Smoking is not allowed in any of our properties. You may smoke outside with the doors shut, however we would ask you not to leave any litter from cigarettes on the ground. Please see our terms and conditions regarding smoking.
Can I bring my pet?
We only allow dogs in Kinnaird Garden Cottage (a trial for 2010).
What are the parking arrangements?
There is safe private parking at Kinnaird. Each property has one space allocated with additional spaces available on request. Owners of vehicles park on our land at their own risk and we will not be responsible for any damage to property.
Do I need a car?
Many guests arrive to us on foot. There are both train and bus timetables in our properties should you prefer not to travel by car. There are many walking trails in the area.
How far are you from town?
We are just under 2 miles from the centre of Pitlochry where you will find lots of restaurants and shops. Our local pub is less than a mile away.
Do you supply linen & towels?
Lodges: all beds are made up freshly for your arrival. Please bring cot bedding if you have requested a cot. A bath mat and a hand towel are provided. Bath towels are not provided - these can be hired at £10 per bath towel.
Kinnaird House & Kinnaird Garden Cottage: all beds are made up freshly for your arrival. Bath sheets, bath mats and hand towels are provided free of charge.
Do I need to bring washing up liquid etc?
No. We supply the following as standard:- washing up liquid, dish washer tablets/powder, cling film. tin foil, dish cloths, sponges and brush, tea towels. Salt and pepper. Roll of toilet paper, bath mat, hand towel, hand wash. What a pain it would be if you had to bring all this stuff! You will also find other bits and pieces in the cupboards for you to use freely.
Do you have cots and high chairs?
Yes, and we don't charge for them. Both Craigower and Ben-y-Vrackie Lodges have cots as standard. A high chair is available on request when available. A baby bath is available if you are staying in the cottage as there is only a shower cubicle.
